Pitts S-2C | Extra 300L | Marchetti SF-260
This is important information that you should consider before you purchase a ride in our aircraft.
The person flying must meet certain physical requirements to be able to participate and enjoy our flying experiences.
- – Must be at least 10 years of age or over the age of 18.*
- – Must be in fair physical condition and have no known heart conditions.
- – Must be able to hear, understand, and speak English well enough to understand emergency and flight instruction commands.
- – Must be less than 6’7″ and 245 pounds (parachute limitation). Tall and skinny is better than short and round. Being less than 20″ wide at the hip is also recommended for comfort.
- – Must be willing and able to sign a Release of Liability Form before the flight.
*If you are under 18 and at least 10 years of age, you must have parental consent, be able to wear the parachute properly and be able to enter and exit the aircraft safely in the event of an emergency.
The aircraft and their cockpits are not very roomy and are quite cramped, like a single seat race car, so size does matter. Shorter, thinner, and lighter is always easier to accommodate. Bigger sizes are acceptable as long as you don’t mind a bit of a tight fit and a little discomfort at times. Middle of the road is always going to b
Waco YMF-5
The Waco can accommodate either one or two people in the front cockpit. There is no noticeable difference in the way the aircraft flies or performs with one or two passengers on board. However, if you want to actually fly the airplane, only one person can fit in the cockpit with the control stick installed. The maximum weight for a single passenger can be up to, 245 pounds (parachute limitation) if they want to perform any aerobatics, otherwise up to 340 pounds is the maximum weight for the front cockpit, if no aerobatics is desired. However, we do not believe it would be possible to fit someone 340 pounds through the door of the aircraft as it is quite small. The combined weight for two passengers in the front cockpit is 340 pounds and the control stick must be removed from the aircraft in order to accommodate two passengers at a time so no hands-on flying is possible for two passenger operations in the Waco. Smaller, thinner and shorter is again optimal, but as long as you don’t mind a tight and cozy fit, we can squeeze almost everyone into the Waco. We must wear parachutes to do aerobatics with two passengers on board so again smaller is better for aerobatics in the Waco.
Of course, there are a many exceptions to the height and weight restrictions, so if you have a specific question, please ask before you buy the flight online. There will be NO REFUNDS for not knowing that 6’9″ and 350 pounds won’t fit in a Pitts. Sorry, but this actually happened. It was embarrassing for everyone involved.

All flights purchased directly from SkyThrills will be honored at anytime now or in the future. Expiration dates are not allowed in this state for Gift Certificates and we will honor them. We only ask that if the price has gone up since you purchased, pay the difference and go flying as long as you have proof of purchase, ie credit card receipt and your purchase order from our secure server. We will cross check our database to make sure you have not or your certificate has not already flown with us. Before you buy any of our SkyThrills experiences you need to understand our refund policy. If you need to cancel and refund your flight experience within six (6) months for any reason and before you schedule your flight, you will be charged a $100 processing fee. To avoid this charge, we are more than happy to transfer the flight to someone else, at no additional cost, if you or the person you purchased the flight for decides not to fly with SkyThrills. You can always donate the flight to a local charity or non-profit organization to be auctioned off.

There is a $100 charge to perform schedule changes within two days (48 hours) of your scheduled flight date/time. The exception to this rule is in the case of bad weather on the day of your flight. SkyThrills will make the “go/no-go” decision and the final determination about the weather. If you cancel or want to reschedule last-minute (within one day or 24 hours) of your scheduled flight date/time, there is a $200 cancellation/rescheduling charge.
If you “NO SHOW” on your scheduled flight date/time you will lose 100% of your money. Please let us know as soon as possible if you are not able to or are are not willing to fly on your scheduled date/time to avoid this penalty. We have a tight schedule and many people who would like to fly with us. So please don’t cancel last minute or not show up on your scheduled date and time or you will be charged for not allowing us to fly someone who really wanted to fly. Thank you for your cooperation.
