SkyThrills is proud to finally offer the world's first Biplane Charter operation in over 70 years! Now you can travel in our luxurious "1930s Learjet," the Waco YMF-5C biplane, anywhere in the US you would like to go with that special someone. Hire us to take you for an adventurous day trip to Catalina Island or to Temecula's Wine Country for lunch or pack a bag and spend the weekend somewhere exciting and beautiful like Death Valley or Mammoth Lakes. The only thing you need to do is dream up a nostalgic, romantic adventure and we will take care of the rest.
The Waco YMF-5C is a current production, FAA certified, modern aircraft built in Battlecreek, MI with the 1935 WACO plans in hand to create
an aircraft that feels like a 1935 biplane but has today's safety standards and technology built into the entirely new aircraft. The Waco is fully equipped with leather seats, burlwood trim, a cabin heater, voice activated David Clark Headsets with leather helmets and goggles, a modern GPS, instruments for flying in clouds and lights to fly at night making this nostalgic beauty as capable as any modern aircraft built today except with an open cockpit and the ability to fly low at 120 MPH! This is the way flying and traveling was meant to be experienced!

Pack your backpacks and get ready for an exciting fly-in adventure for 2 to Catalina Island! Along the way you will get to see the Queen Mary, Long Beach Harbor, and we head south toward the Island of Catalina. Along the way we will fly around one half the island as we maneuver for landing on the 1602’ plateau. We will look for the buffalo that live on the island and the world’s second longest zip line.
This experience is designed to show you Catalina in a way that has not been experienced since the 1940s from an open cockpit biplane through the eyes of an early aviator. We will meet at the Fullerton Airport and take some photos in front of the biplane, then we will take to the sky and head for adventure.
